Student Fees

In addition to your base tuition, you'll see different fees assessed on your student account, including the Technology Fee, Activity Fee, Transportation Fee, Health & Counseling Fee, and other course or program-specific fees. Optional charges, including room & board and parking permits are also assessed to your student account. Mandatory Fees include:

Technology Fee: In order to enhance opportunities for students' use of technology in and out of the classroom, and to provide multiple modalities of student learning, a Technology Fee is charged each term to all students. This fee is charged per credit hour taken.

Activity Fee: The Activity Fee is charged to most graduate students (excluding students enrolled in online programs). This fee is charged as a flat-rate per term, and supports student organizations, campus activities, certain events, and other general student-related services and resources.

Transportation Fee: The University of Denver encourages students, employees, and visitors to use public transit to travel to and from campus. The Technology Fee is charged to most graduate students (excluding students enrolled in online programs). This fee is charged as a flat-rate per term. Through this fee, all eligible University of Denver students receive unlimited rides on RTD buses and trains through the RTD CollegePass program. It's an easy, sustainable, and cost-effective way to get around the Denver metro area—including to and from the airport.

Health & Counseling Fee: The Health & Counseling Fee is charged to most full-time graduate students (excluding students enrolled in online programs). This fee is charged as a flat rate per term, and supports health and wellness initiatives and resources provided by the Health & Counseling Center (HCC). It can also help reduce the cost of medical and counseling services provided at the HCC. Students in eligible programs may have the opportunity to waive a portion of the Health & Counseling Fee through the HCC.
