College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences

The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences (CAHSS) is the liberal arts hub of the University of Denver and represents a variety of schools, departments, and programs.

Our approximately 40 graduate programs include two top-ranked doctoral programs in English and Literary Arts and in Psychology. Our masters of arts programs range from a MA in Economics to a MA in Music with a concentration in Musicology, and from a MA in Religious Studies to a MA in International and Intercultural Communication - all grounded in academic rigor and focused on launching students toward successful and meaningful post-graduation careers.

With about 280 CAHSS graduate students, our student-centered graduate programs feature small class sizes, with teaching and mentoring from supportive faculty who are nationally and internationally recognized for their research and creative endeavors.

Our interdisciplinary, highly collaborative environment helps foster meaningful partnerships among students and faculty, supports student research opportunities, and provides both theoretical and "real-world" learning opportunities for our graduate students.
