First-Year Seminar Program
The instructor for the student's FSEM 1111 First Year Seminar serves as the student's primary academic advisor for the entire first year, meeting with each student during fall, winter, and spring quarters to provide consistent academic advising, mentoring, and support. This course is required for all first-time, first-year students. Students register for FSEM 1111 online the summer prior to their enrollment. Students who do not pass or withdraw from their First-Year Seminar will be required to take two Advanced Seminars (ASEMs) to complete their Common Curriculum requirements.
